The Kentucky Wildcats will begin their quest for championship No. 9 as the 3-seed in the South Region.
The Wildcats will face No. 14 Oakland in the first round in Pittsburgh. The winner will take on the winner of North Carolina State and Texas Tech.
Marquette is the 2-seed in the South and they will battle Western Kentucky.
Florida is also in Kentucky’s pod.
Houston is the 1-seed in the South.
The state’s other team, Morehead State, earned a 14-seed in the West Region. The Eagles will face Illinois in the first round.
